Bakery Living Orange
5 floors, each representing the residential and Pittsburgh community
For this project, I designed and fabricated five murals (two 4’x19’, three 4’x8’) in residential hallways on each floor of Walnut Capital Management's Bakery Living Orange apartment building. I managed project budgeting, materials selection, and timeline coordination.
The artwork was designed in Adobe Illustrator and I produced in-situ mockups in Photoshop. The colors were inspired by the multicolored apartment door colors, and I wanted to represent a diverse range of landmarks across East Liberty and beyond. I projected the final design on the wall as far as my little projector would go and freehanded the rest of the sketch. The murals were painted using Sherwin Williams Duration Interior paint, and sealed with a luster polyacrylic finish.
