For this pattern, I hand-illustrated 3 different bugs in a pointillism style. The sketches were then vectorized using the image trace tool in Adobe Illustrator. From there, a pattern was strategically designed and created.

My fascination and fear of bugs have lead me to pursue this design. To reinforce this concept, on the sleeves, I added type that says, “entomophobia” (the fear of bugs) and “entomophilia” (the love of bugs).
